Are you an experienced Investment Advisor or Planner in search of a fulfilling and rewarding career to continue to build your advisory business? We are looking for a self-motivated entrepreneur with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision who is part of a larger team. As an Investment Advisor, with your ability as a portfolio manager to provide discretionary investment services at QVest, you can help your clients reach their goals. Key responsibilities:

  • Lean on QVest’s depth of industry experience, talent and innovations to build a client base of high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners and manage their complex financial needs.
  • Leverage QVest’s investment and wealth management resources to create customized portfolios and wealth plans for your clients.
  • Foster trusted, often multi-generational, long-term relationships using personalized service and advice.
  • Establish and maintain reciprocal relationships with QVest partners such as insurance and tax matters, to ensure your clients are supported in all aspects of their financial lives.

Qualifications and experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of outbound sales experience with a proven track record.
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or will do so prior to your start
  • date.
  • Professional certifications such as Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH), Personal
  • Financial Planner (PFP), Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and Chartered
  • Financial Analyst (CFA) are preferred.
  • Experience in a direct marketing role and financial services is an asset.
  • Thorough understanding and adherence to regulatory compliance requirements,
  • including up-to-date maintenance of Know Your Client (KYC) profiles, and support for Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Product (KYP) and client suitability assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of brokerage, financial planning, wealth management and investment environment.
  • Passion for financial planning and a strong interest in portfolio management.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to connect effectively with
  • diverse individuals.
  • Proficiency in implementing well-planned investment strategies, leveraging both
  • proprietary investment vehicles and third-party funds and securities.
  • Proactive networking to identify and capitalize on business development opportunities.
  • Willingness and capability to become registered with relevant regulatory bodies
  • overseeing QVest.
